An Abridged History of Litchborough Cricket Club: Part 4 - A Friendly Club

Many players visiting Litchborough for the first time were fascinated to see sheep, hens, cows and a bull, together with several shire horses placidly feeding outside the cricket boundary.

Needless to say, considerable commotion was caused amongst opposition fielders when the ball when anywhere near the large Hereford bull and the home team took the advantage of running many extra runs!

Another highlight of the home games were the delicious teas provided by the wives and girlfriends of the Litchborough players.

Over the period covered by this brief history, 107 players represented Litchborough.
