T. Buxton and G. Humphreys were outstanding bowlers for many years and M.W. Cox served the club for over 20 years as honourable secretary and treasurer following Mr Buxton.

The Club would like to thank greatly Rodney Hutchings for writing this fascinating LCC History and for supplying the images.

An Abridged History of Litchborough Cricket Club: Part 6 - Honours

Ron Buxton held the position of honourable secretary and treasurer for 25 years and was untiring and earned great respect.  Jack Grey as one time player, chairman and umpire and Jack Hutchings as captain for many years gave years of experience and stability to the club.

Long term club members R. Pittom and B. Tarry also led the team with skill and enthusiasm as well as their individual playing ability.

Friendliness, enthusiasm and sporting ability were uppermost in the atmosphere of the club.

But three people especially need to be mentioned for their loyalty, pride and hard work for the sport of cricket and the club they serve so well.
