LCC, 200 all out from 36 overs lost to Abington, 201 for 5 wickets from 37.3 overs, by 5 wickets.
LCC lost the toss and were asked to bat. After losing early wickets Rick and Barry put on 46 before Barry was caught for 30. John and Rick then put on a partnership of 80 before Rick was out for 16 with the score on 102. LCC then collapsed to 130-9 before Dennis and Josh put on 70 for the last wicket with Dennis getting a fine 50 not out and Josh making a brilliant 17, a club best for him.
The Abington innings started badly when Steve took an early wicket but then a number of good partnerships took them to a 5 wicket win with D.White scoring the bulk of the runs with a excellent unbeaten 106. A good spell of bowling from Barry (8-3-20-2), Steve (8-2-22-1) and Tugger (3-0-15-0) could not force a win this time for LCC. Report by Rick Allen.
