Willoughby 136 all out from 38.5 overs lost to LCC, 137 for 2 wickets from 30.1 overs, by 8 wickets.
LCC lost the toss and were asked to field. Scoring was difficult on a slow pitch and with very accurate bowling from all of the bowlers restricted Willoughby to 136 all out. The fielding was first class with skipper Dennis Townsend taking a wonderful catch in the deep. Nobber (8-1-29-2) and Tugger (6-1-22-3) were the pick of the LCC bowlers. Willoughby best batting performance was by Thompson who played some nice shots getting to 37 not out.
LCC then batted steadily until Russ was out for 6 and Brad fell shortly afterwards for a hard fought 12 on the tricky surface. Number 3 batsman Rick Allen (38 not out) and number four John Stretton (61 not out) saw the LCC home with nearly ten overs to spare.
